Does Term Life Insurance Require a Physical Exam?

Whether or not term life insurance requires a physical will depend on the insurance carrier's requirements for approval, your age and health.

Many life insurance carriers require the applicant to take a physical exam if over 30 years old, buying more than $50,000 of life insurance, or if you have a health issue.

However, there are no physical exam life insurance plans available for people ages 20 to 60, if you are healthy.

In addition, guaranteed issue life insurance policies have no exam and no health questions asked for seniors.
